The Brondell Coral UC300 Three Stage is part of the Water Filters test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, Under-Sink Water Filters models like the Coral UC300 Three Stage are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Flavor and Odor Reduction A measure of how effectively the filter removed flavor taints, along with the resulting odor taints, that CR added to plain water with minimal intrinsic flavor and odor (the "control" water). The test measured how close the flavor and odor of the filtered water was to that of the control water.

Flow rate the time it took to filter one quart of water

Clogging reflects if/how the filter's flow rate slowed over the course of the cartridge's lifespan
