Toyota builds solid, efficient, and reliable vehicles. Most of their models do well in our testing, thanks to their refined powertrains, impressive fuel economy, comfortable rides, quiet cabins, and intuitive controls. The Camry is a perennial best seller, and the Highlander and Sienna are consistently among the top-scoring models in their respective classes. The Prius has long been among the most fuel-efficient cars available. Hybrid technology is available throughout much of the Toyota line, including notably on the efficient RAV4 Hybrid, Sienna, and Venza. Plug-in hybrids include the Prius Prime and RAV4 Prime. The GR86 and Supra sports cars are certain to entertain driving enthusiasts. The long-overdue redesign of the Sequoia SUV andTundra pickup truck brought improvements, but these models still have some shortcomings. Toyota’s first pure EV, the bZ4X SUV, has an EPA estimated 222-252-mile range (depending on the model). Overall reliability for the brand continues to be superb.
